Abstract
The post explores the energy stored in biological systems and the Earth’s atmosphere through fractal vortex structures. This stored energy can be converted into various phenomena such as biological movement and weather events like tornadoes. Experiments demonstrate that energy in water can be sequestered and later released, affecting flow patterns. The text suggests a connection between this energy and flight mechanics in birds and aircraft, postulating that all matter might be linked through electromagnetic vortices. It implies that understanding this energy movement may redefine our perception of life processes and physical phenomena across different scales.
The hypothesis
Energy is stored in biological systems, the Earth’s atmosphere, and plain water in the form of fractal vortex structures. Such energy can be sequestered and released at a later time to manifest as a variety of hitherto unexplained phenomena.
Energy can be input in one form (e.g. kinetic or electromagnetic), stored in another form and then later utilised to effect the movement of physical particles.
Biological systems make use of such energy at the cellular level for essential life processes. The energy is invisible and unmeasurable in its sequestered form but can be controlled by living processes and manifest as kinetic phenomena at the behest of the organism.
Such energy in the atmosphere is utilised by aeroplanes, birds and insects to effect flight in its various forms.
A build-up and release of energy in the atmosphere, particularly in winter, is responsible for the formation of tornadoes and hurricanes.
Such energy and its vortex structure are utilised by single cellular organisms to mobilise both themselves and their food sources in a low Reynolds number environment.
The apparent effects of such an energy release are that of:
- A ‘non-Newtonian’ fluid motion with no obvious energy source or ‘equal and opposite’ reaction; physical movement seems to arise from nowhere
- The appearance of circular electric circuits with no obvious driving voltage
- The apparent self-organisation of molecules in living systems (morphogenesis)
This energy is responsible in large part for driving the blood around the circulatory system and its behaviour in the human body aligns with descriptions of the ‘Chi’ of traditional Chinese medicine.
The form of the energy is consistent with that of a toroidal electro-magnetic field structure whereby inwardly spiralling field movement forms a centripetal energy cascade.

Evidence and arguments
Energy is sequestered by stirring
In one experiment, water is placed in a glass and its temperature is taken [2]. The water is then stirred and the temperature is again taken and is found to have decreased. The process is repeated and again the temperature decreases but a limit is soon reached whereby no further loss takes place.
- Energy is transmuted from heat to something else
- Energy is transmuted from kinetic to something else
- Energy is stored in some, as yet, unknown form
- Physical vortex movement is the progenitor
- Only a finite amount of energy may be sequestered

A vortex structure can arise from energy input
Arthur Yu placed a hydrophilic tube into a bath of water and found that the water spontaneously organised into toroidal flow around the tank with the tube at the centre of the flow. If infrared light was shone into the water the flow sped up and when the light was removed, the flow slowed down again.
- The initial flow is almost immediate, suggesting that it makes use of already sequestered energy
- Energy is transmuted, this time from electromagnetic to kinetic
- The flow self-organises according to the physical geometry of the apparatus
- Judging by appearances, the flow is not driven by a pressure gradient
- A circular flow cannot be driven by a pressure gradient
We observed sustained axial flow through tubes immersed in water. The flow was spontaneous; i.e., no pressure gradient was applied. – Arthur Yu

Existing energy can be induced to self-organise by a weak vibrational input
In the video below, the default water flow is induced into energetic helical patterns by the rather weak stimulus of an acoustic vibration. Varying the frequency results in different patterns.
The initial flow is energetic but without the helical structure that will later appear when the sound is turned on. It is not obvious how a helical structure could be created by sound waves and so we must suspect that such structures arise from some ‘templates’ which are somehow latent in the properties of water.
The latent structure of a helix will now need some energy for formation and maintenance. Moreover, this energy will also likely find its source within the water stream itself, either in the visible kinetic stream or in some other hidden vortex structure.
So both energy and morphogenic information reside within the water and only need an appropriate trigger to manifest these into physical form.
This surely the basic operation of living organisms, that they have gained control over a body of energetic water and have learned to utilise it for their own benefit.
The energy cascade
In fluid flow, energy is found to transfer from large scale eddies to the smaller, whence it is transduced to thermal energy owing to ‘viscous dissipation’. [3]
The process here is the inverse of that in the water engine where thermal energy is the input and physical vortex flow is the result.

Fractal electromagnetic vortices
The images below from Bob Greenyer [6] were produced by pointing an electron microscope at a photographic(?) plate and that is all.

The strong electric field within the electron beam has self-organised into the vortices shown and has formed an energy cascade which has resulted in each larger vortex now ‘fractalising’ into collection of smaller vortices.
The behaviour of an electric field is seen to be very similar to that of a fluid described above.
A revised atomic structure (Meyl)
In a novel formulation of the structure of an atom, Konstantin Meyl describes all fundamental particles as electromagnetic vortices. [1] [2]
In the diagram below of an oxygen atom in a gaseous state, the electron ring is arranged as shown with each electron consisting of a single electromagnetic field vortex. Each electron rotates around the nucleus whilst at the same time spinning on its own axis, thereby creating a magnetic dipole. The dipoles attract as shown to form a stable atom.

The surrounding electrons are not actually spherical but adopt a shape resembling the segments of an orange as shown in the depiction of a neon atom, below.

A gas or fluid now consists, not of discrete vibrating molecules separated by space, but an electromagnetic field continuum consisting of a plethora of rotating field vortices; an ideal medium for the transmutation and sequestering of electromagnetic field energy.
A revised theory of electromagnetism (Meyl)
Classical electrodynamics allows for a limited range of electromagnetic structures including ‘static’ fields and the rather inflexible ‘photon’ which has no dimensions or volume and yet is still said to possess ‘energy’ and to have an effect on the various materials of the physical universe.
Konstantin Meyl defines, via a single equation, a more flexible space-filling electromagnetic field which is in a state of constant ‘movement’, reduces to Maxwell’s field in the simplest cases and where field propagation is at the speed of light.
The constant movement means that any structure emerging from the field (see the photon-torus below) has an natural tendency to want to go somewhere: it possesses an innate ‘energy’.
The photon as a ring vortex
A photon was created in the form of a toroidal electromagnetic vortex [7]. We now have the possibility that light and matter are really manifestations of the same thing, namely an electromagnetic field vortex.

Another idea from Meyl [1] is that photons consist of two leapfrogging vortex rings, with energy contained within the vortices and the leapfrogging giving rise to ‘frequency’ when measured appropriately. The idea is illustrated in the clip below:
There is little distinction between field movement and kinetic movement
If all atoms are just spinning electric fields then the kinetic movement of molecules in vortex patterns is really just one manifestation of electromagnetic field vortex movement. Moreover, if photons are really the vortex movement of electromagnetic fields then the transduction of energy from photon to the vortex movement of either water or air is now almost a theoretical inevitability with only the details to be worked out.
Similarly, if energy is sequestered as a fractal electromagnetic vortex field, then it should not be too surprising if the release of such energy were to result in the vortex movement of the host fluid or gas.
The necessity for a fractal buffering system
Energy in living systems must be carefully regulated. An instantaneous supply must be available at all times and there must be no long term build up of energy at any point. A buffering system is needed in all energy management systems and biology is no exception.
We must have the capacity to store excess energy and the ability to use such energy when local energy is depleted. This must happen at all scales from the that of a whole organism down to the scale of organs and thence cells and even bio-molecules.
Such a buffering system could easily be described as ‘fractal’ and if the energy thus managed is of an electromagnetic nature then the system will take on a vortex pattern and we have a clear description of a hidden vital energy storage as claimed.
The system is highly efficient. In most energy regulation systems, excess energy will be:
- Detected via a sophisticated instrument
- Transmitted through a wire with energy loss
- Stored in a battery some distance from where it will be needed, again with some energy loss
In the vortex system however, energy is regulated by the basic laws of physics and stored strictly locally with no energy loss. The fractal structure means that for any volume of biological system, no matter how small or large, the energy always remains within that volume and is available to be released in service of a useful biological function.
Examples
The water engine revisited
The hypothesis seems clearer now. Energy is sequestered within the water as electromagnetic energy in the form of vortex fields and even spinning electron fields.
Initially chaotic and disorganised, the electric field within the bath instantly snaps to a global toroidal formation upon the introduction of the hydrophilic tube, whereupon vital energy is organised and released, resulting in the observable physical movement of the water. Pollack’s water engine
The geometry of the fluid mass and the conductive properties of the tube determine the flow pattern and the Hairy Ball Theorem of theoretical topology [8] ensures an overall toroidal flow.
The flowing water is not obviously driven by a pressure differential and no pressure waves are visible. The appearance of the flow is consistent with the idea of the water being driven on a molecular level by an electromagnetic field.
Note that the idea of a pressure differential makes little sense in circular (toroidal) flow. Ask where the points of highest and lowest pressure would be and how they are created.
Tornadoes
In the case of tornadoes we again have flow with a toroidal topology.
Flow is centripetal and in accordance with the vortex principle. Movement appears out of nowhere, suggesting the release of some inner store and the overall flow is globally organised which implies the action of a field-like structure.

Hypothesis: Energy builds up in the atmosphere but remains ‘latent’ in a fractal vortex structure. When conditions are ‘propitious’ (whatever that may mean) such energy is released into the kinetic realm and a tornado begins, first with a global organisation of the electric field and then with the induced spinning of the physical molecules.
The whole mechanism is very similar to that of the water engine above.
Seasonal refuelling
Magnetic flux ropes are said to deliver vast amounts of energy from the Sun to the Earth particularly in winter. [9] The energy is likely in the form of electromagnetic vortices.
This may be one way that energy is stored in the atmosphere and would account for a seasonal variation which may be influential in the seasonal production of tornadoes.
Refuelling via neutrino energy
The idea comes from Meyl that the neutrino stream from the sun is somehow amenable to capture by living organisms for use as an energy supply.
We should not rule out that the mechanism for such capture may be via the fractal vortex structures of vital energy.
If this is true then neutrino energy will be captured by all living organisms and possibly also the Earth’s atmosphere and the waters of the oceans and rivers.
Dust devils
Dust devils tend to form on sunny days in calm conditions and cannot be said to be the result of large masses of warm and cold air colliding.
They can materialise apparently from nothing in a matter of a few seconds only and will dissipate in short order.
The short lifespan suggests that only a limited amount of local energy is available. It was not transported from elsewhere but was already at the location in a latent form and was somehow ‘activated’ by local conditions to form a physical vortex system.

There is much electrical discharge associated with dust devils with mainstream texts claiming that the rotating particles in the air are rubbing against each other to create electricity via the triboelectric effect.
But if the rotation is causing the electricity then what is it that is causing the rotation? Where does the energy come from? How is it organised?
It is surely more likely that an energetic electric field self-organises into a vortex and then drags around the dust particles as it gains power. Existing field energy is accumulated centripetally from the immediate surroundings to form the physical vortex and excess is discharged as lighting.
The confusion in the mainstream explanation arises from a fixation upon the idea that ‘matter’ is somehow causal in almost everything. If kinetic motion and organised electric fields are present then the conclusion is that it must be the kinetic motion that caused the field and not the other way around. Scientists need to conceive that fields can exist and persist of themselves and, moreover, that contrary to their assumptions, it is such fields that promote the motion of physical matter.
Viktor Schauberger
Water sequesters sunlight
Viktor Schauberger claimed that water was energetic at night time and somewhat sluggish during sunlight, observing that heavy logs (such as beech and silver fir, which are denser than water) could be floated and transported much more effectively in streams at night or under moonlight because the energized water built up upward-lifting and pulling forces.
Schauberger believed that sunlight somehow made the water sluggish. One interpretation of this is that energy is stored up during the day via an energy cascade but is then released at night and made available for ‘work’.
It seems that energy can move down the fractal cascade for storage or up the cascade to be made available for kinetic motion – but not both at the same time.
Rivers are breathing in energy during the day and breathing it out at night.
Viktor believed that water was at its most ‘potent’ when cold and became stagnant and powerless as it became hotter. [10]
Water with negative resistance
Schauberger performed an experiment which he claimed showed water developing ‘negative resistance’ in copper pipes. These claims were heavily disputed and yet reproduced by one of his fiercest critics [14].
One way of interpreting the phrase ‘negative resistance ‘ is to conclude that the water was somehow gaining energy as it travelled through the pipe.
Judging by his sketches of helical flow within a pipe, Schauberger had created the ideal conditions for the sequestering or release of vital energy.

Rivers flowing uphill
Schauberger claimed that there exist rivers flowing uphill [16] [17] and claimed to have reproduced the phenomenon himself [18] [19]
I thank you for your last letter and enclosures, which interested me particularly, because this is the fourth instance of rivers flowing uphill. These cases cannot be explained purely mechanically. In the Tatra mountains of Czechoslovakia there is a river, which over a distance of about 15 km (9.3 miles), overcomes a reverse-gradient of 64 metres (210 ft). These phenomena are painstakingly kept secret, because it is feared that an exhaustive analysis of them would bring about the collapse of the Law of Gravity. – A reply by Viktor Schauberger to a newspaper report – Implosion Magazine, No. 84.
A plausible explanation now for this is that the water accumulates vital energy as it flows downstream and that this energy is then released to effect flow in the uphill section.
This is a remarkable parallel of the circulation of the blood whereby the blood is infused with vital (vortex) energy which is utilised later to effect the kinetic movement of the fluid. See below.
Note that Schauberger emphatically stated that the blood was not pumped around the body by the heart [18] [20]
Water as a transducer of energy
Without knowing the precise nature of the vital energy, Schauberger had nevertheless worked out that water is continually transducing energy from one form to another:
Water is the most ideal accumulator and transformer in which the direction of movement alone determines whether magnetic or electric currents are produced. [16]
Powered flight
Nobody knows how aeroplanes fly. Videos exist demonstrating the falsity of Bernoulli’s Principle and flight engineers themselves are at a loss.
There seems to be a consensus that lift is caused by the creation and maintenance of an area of low pressure above the wings but nobody knows the mechanism responsible.

Hypothesis: The movement of the plane through the atmosphere gives rise to rolling wind vortices along the wings (see image above) which transport air towards the wingtips thereby creating the required low pressure area. The mechanism is identical to that of a tornado moving air first inwards and then upwards to create a low pressure interior.
Flight seems very efficient and the vortices must form with ease and reliability. This is a clue that the planes are not merely creating the vortices with the energy of the engines but maybe utilising some sequestered atmospheric vitality. Latent energy within the atmosphere is being organised again into kinetic vortex structures and this is assisting the flight.
The efficiency of flight is said to vary hugely according to atmospheric conditions. We can now speculate that this may be caused, in part, by the variable availability of sequestered energy.
Paper planes
Even without ‘thrust’ a paper plane will glide a long way. We find, again, the formation of vortices on the upper side of the wings.
Is a small piece of paper really able to create sufficient energy to move around enough air to form vortices this large, or is the energy already present in the air in some latent form?

Avian flight
Birds seem to have the ability to fly effortlessly at times and with great forward speed relative to the surrounding air.
Although much lighter than aeroplanes, a very obvious difference between birds and aeroplanes is that birds have no ‘thrust’, they have no great store of energy with which to power forward motion.
If they are to fly via vortex creation then they must create such vortices by flapping alone, but even this seems not to happen for much of the time.
Insect flight
In the case of small insects such as aphids, the situation is still different. These creatures are said be operating in low Reynolds number flow, which means that viscous forces dominate.
Such movement at this scale is said to be like a human trying to swim through oil or honey. This just isn’t going to happen unless there is something else going on. We need either some extra property of air that is propitious for flight or a local energy supply .. or both!
The flight of the bumble bee
The bumble bee flies by again creating a vortex system, but this time it is a documented ring vortex.
Such structures are highly stable and conserve energy well, seemingly running with very little frictional losses despite the low Reynolds number. Vortex flow seems to be the ‘preferred’ system of movement at all scales.

The efficiency of the swimming of fish
Viktor Schauberger observed fish swimming against the flow with very little effort:
In a mountain stream he observed a trout which apparently stood still in the midst of rapidly streaming water. The trout merely manoeuvred slightly, looking rather free from effort. When it got alerted it fled against the stream – not with it, which at first sight would have seemed to be more natural. [15]
The trout is somehow utilising vital energy in the water to propel itself along?
On some occasions a cauldron of warm water was poured into the stream, quite a long distance upstream from the fish, for a moment making the river water slightly warmer. As this water reached the fish, it could no longer sustain its position in the stream, but was swept away with the flowing water, not returning until later. [15]
The warm water was lacking in vital energy for some reason and the fish was temporarily without a power supply.
By studying the gills of the fish, Schauberger found what looked like guide vanes. These, he theorized, would guide streaming water in a vortex motion backwards. By creating a rotating flow, a pressure increase would result behind the fish, and a corresponding pressure decrease in front of it, which would help it to keep its place in the stream. [15]
Vortex motion is again implicated, but it surely is not sufficient to rearrange the flow in order to propel a fish forward; there must be some additional energy coming from somewhere.
Water rings and smoke rings
Watch videos of water rings or smoke rings and think about the slow decay rate.
Energy is supplied to the ring at genesis and we would expect that if energy loss is related to friction then the maximum decay rate would be in the initial stages when the ring is spinning most vigorously. However, what we see is a steady progress of the ring in the initial stages and a more rapid loss of speed only as the ring formation begins to disintegrate.
Two possibilities spring to mind to explain the initial lack of energy loss:
- The usual laws of friction simply do not apply to vortex motion
- The rings are utilising a hidden energy supply
Probably both are true at the same time.
In the case of hidden energy, the supply is limited as with the water stirring experiment above. This prevents the rings accelerating indefinitely and leads to a steady maximum speed which persists until the ring structure begins to dissipate, whereupon disintegration is rapid as it is the vortex movement itself that is necessary for the utilisation of the élan vital.
Viktor Grebennikov
Grebennikov claimed some sort of levitation or anti-gravity effects from insect wings even when not in flight. His experiments have been reproduced and videos made – see below.
The effect looks like some electrical discharge but how does charge accumulate in an insect wing when it is lying on an insulator? Why would electrons move through the nylon and accumulate against the increasing charge gradient to increase it even more?
We can speculate that the wings are accumulating vital energy somehow and transforming it into something which acts like ‘charge’.
The water engine experiment shows that energy can in fact accumulate simply according to the geometry of the physical space. Therefore, one guess for this phenomenon is that the shape and surface characteristics of the beetle wings serve to concentrate vital energy at the wing surface where it is either transformed into vortices to effect flight or is discharged suddenly as seen below.
The morphogenesis of the brain
A brain just seems to self-assemble with no external influence. Remarkable.
Particles which are distributed evenly throughout the skull move together and seem to self-organise to form a brain. There is no physical machinery visible to effect such organisation and no apparent energy supply for the whole process.
Organisation occurs at all scales as a fractal process which means that both information transfer and energy regulation also occur as fractal processes. This implies that energy is made available at all scales and this is pretty much now the definition of the élan vital.
The bio-field of the zebrafish embryo has somehow influenced the vital energy to move in such a way as to create an entire brain from available materials.
The circulation of the blood
The heart of a chick embryo was stopped but the blood continued to circulate for up to 50 minutes [11]. Odd flow patterns were observed, with flow in contiguous segments obviously independent of each other and starting and stopping seemingly at random. The blood appears to be moving according to its own laws and driven by internal energy as opposed to a pressure wave from the heart.
The flow stops and is restored from the periphery.
In arteries, post-mortem blood flow initially reversed direction: blood flowed from thinner arterial branches back to the larger arteries. In the trunk vitelline arteries adjacent to the heart, the reversal persisted for approximately 10 minutes, longer than the brief reversal sometimes observed in veins. The restoration of natural flow direction occurred first at the peripheral region of the arterial network, gradually moving upstream and ultimately reaching the heart region. Eventually, that flow emptied the arteries. They became pale, indicating loss of red-blood cells. Besides that decrease in red-cell density, arterial diameters diminished. Emptying of arteries occurred consistently, in all experiments. – Zheng Li, Gerald Pollack
Post mortem blood flow empties arteries

(A) Vitelline artery and vein in live chick embryo. Artery and vein overlap, the artery lying partially beneath the vein. Blue arrows indicate the direction of venous flow, red arrows, arterial flow. (B) Vitelline artery and vein in a post mortem chick embryo, 20 minutes after the heart had stopped. Blood tends to exit arteries, leaving them pale. – Li, Pollack
The blood is driven by vital energy
An artery cannot empty by means of ‘pressure’ as pressure can only be maintained with a full artery. A smaller volume of blood cannot drive out a larger volume under such circumstances and no volume of blood can be driven by a vacuum.
The local patterns of post-mortem blood flow are independent of each other as far as pressure is concerned.
The blood is therefore driven by a local energy supply at all scales which again means a fractal or vital energy.
Two broad possibilities exist:
- A fractal energy system exists within the body which somehow enters the arteries from outside and causes the blood to flow
- The energy resides within the blood itself and is released as and when necessary in order to move the blood along
Overall patterns of blood flow suggest that the second option is the more likely, with energy input into the blood from both the heart and capillary beds. The heart likely sequesters heat energy into a fractal structure by the action of stirring as with the water stirring experiment above [2]. Such energy is now invisible, unmeasurable and fractal and hence: ‘vital’. It is now available for transduction to kinetic flow by some undiscovered means.
Life at a low Reynolds number
In the video below, small vorticella are seen to move large bodies of water, many times their own body size, with little visible effort. The movement is deliberate and directed at attracting food sources.
The low Reynolds number is such that movement at this scale is compared in the video to a human swimming through roofing tar. The video claims that such viscosity is actually helpful to the vorticella but we are entitled to be sceptical of this; the fluid does not look viscous and the movement does not look like the movement of roofing tar.
The vorticella are seen to instigate specific vortex structures many times their own size with very little physical movement. The organism itself is not even at the centre of the vortex and has no chance of arranging the pattern at a distance from itself.
We need to ask where the energy comes from for such a feat and how the swirling pattern is organised.
The answers by now are clear. Both the organisational and energy potentials reside within the fractal vortex structure of the the electromagnetic fields within the water. The microorganisms have learnt to trigger these potentials in order to move around and to move their food sources closer to themselves.
The kT paradox
The kT paradox) in biophysics refers to the apparent contradiction that the energy of weak external stimuli – such as low-frequency electromagnetic fields (bio-photons) – is far smaller than the random thermal energy ‘kT’, (where ‘k’ is the Boltzmann constant and ‘T’ is temperature) that constantly jostles molecules inside cells. – AI summary
The paradox arises from several misconceptions:
- The classical model of the photon is incorrect
- The classical model of water is incorrect
- The classical ideas of ‘heat’ and ‘temperature’ are incorrect
- Abstract ideas of information and entropy are not useful
- The concept of ‘action’ within a cellular environment is inadequate
The photon
Broadly speaking physicists will calculate the energy of a photon by measuring its frequency and then calculating its energy from from Plank’s relation E=hf . They will measure the frequency via some resonant system which only measures frequency and discards or even destroys any other energy which may be present.
The model of a photon as a pair of leap-frogging ring vortices (above) clearly allows for a relationship between frequency and energy content but at the same time allows for other energies or features to be present.
In particular, it may well be that a photon has some fractal structure with deeply buried vital energy. This will be missed by a simple application of Plank’s relationship.
Intra-cellular water
By now it is clear that a model of water as vibrating molecules is not particularly helpful and is even incorrect.
A better model is that of a series of nested electromagnetic vortex structures, imbued with vital energy which is available for use in response to appropriate external stimuli.
This is the essence of Life: a continual reorganisation of fractal vortex energy within an aqueous environment.
Various options for a variety of actions are made available within a cell and these actions may be triggered by the application of a supervening bio-field. The energy for such actions resides within the cell and does not immediately need to come from outside. The ‘instructions’ from the bio-field reside in those structures of the bio-photon which are not measured by contemporary instruments.
From Meyl [1], we have the idea that temperature is not the constant vibrating of molecules (nobody has witnessed this) but the constant expansion and contraction of vortices as they absorb and release energy. Meyl’s solution is completely in tune with the rest of his theory and requires no additional ‘magic’ to vibrate the molecules.
The physical structures of the bio-field instructions and the temperature of the intracellular water can be said to operate orthogonally, which is to say, independently, of each other and having no physical effect on each other; there is no ‘noise’ to confuse the instructions.
The kT paradox is therefore a problem arising entirely from an inadequate representation of the problem in terms of classical physics.
Summary
A hypothesis has been presented that an élan vital exists and takes the physical form of a fractal electromagnetic vortex field. Energy is sequestered in a fractal cascade and can be released at a later time to effect the movement of matter.
All movement thus created takes the form of a vortex. Living systems have learnt to use this release of energy for their own benefit and indeed this could be said to be the distinguishing feature of Life.
Many examples were supplied of phenomena that are otherwise difficult to explain:
- Natural phenomena in biological systems
- Weather phenomena
- The flight of birds, insects and aeroplanes
- Laboratory experiments
In each case we see movement of matter commencing with no apparent force involved and in each case the movement is in the form of a vortex.
Living systems are said in general to be a long way from thermodynamic equilibrium. The centripetal nature of vortex flow and the ability to sequester energy in a fractal structure are now foundational ideas in explaining this.
